David Behrends, DVM

Owner/Veterinarian

Dr. Behrends received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M in 1979. He was an associate veterinarian in Angleton, TX before returning to the hill country, where he was born and raised (Stonewall & Fredericksburg). The practice was established in 1981, and he has been an active practitioner in mixed animal medicine in Blanco since. Along with being a father of two, Dr. Behrends is an active member of First Baptist Church and a board member of the Blanco County Appraisal District.


Christina Behrends, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Behrends received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M in May of 2014. Following graduation, she worked as an associate veterinarian at Bastrop Veterinary Hospital where she developed her skills as a mixed animal practitioner. As a practitioner, Dr. Behrends enjoys food animal medicine & small animal surgery/preventative medicine. Christina grew up in Blanco, TX where she was able to enjoy all the great activities the hill country has to offer. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, traveling, and photography.


Kendall Pittman, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Pittman grew up in Boerne before attending Texas A&M, where she graduated in 2022. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her family, friend and fur babies. She also enjoys hunting, fishing, kayaking, and all things outdoors!   


Caroline Zouvi, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Zouvi (“Dr. Z”) received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University in 2022. Following graduation, she practiced at a small and equine animal clinic in Dallas, Texas for two years before moving to the Hill Country. She joined our team in August 2024. In her spare time, Dr. Z enjoys outdoor adventures with her pups, cooking, reading and spending time with her friends.


Clara Mobley

Practice Manager/Accountant

Clara is our ‘behind the scenes woman’, she is our bookkeeper and will not hesitate to answer the phone lines when they are going full throttle. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and catching up on life’s adventures with her family.


Alexandria Uballe

Practice Manager

Alexandria, known as Alex, has always been surrounded by animals of all sizes and species. Her passion led her to enter the veterinary field officially in 2015. She is dedicated to helping the clinic team succeed each day. Her enthusiasm and support are felt throughout the workplace. Whether greeting patients at the door or assisting during treatment, Alex is known for her warmth—she loves to meet every animal, shake every paw, and is famous for her heartfelt hugs. In her free time, she spends quality moments with her family and pets. She also enjoys arts and crafts, cooking, baking, and redecorating.


Carissa Briney

Lead Receptionist

Carissa rejoined our team March 2023. She’s been in the veterinary field for quite some time and absolutely loves it. You’ll find her up front, greeting all of the fur-babies with open arms and a big smile. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and spending time with her son and daughter. She also has a handful of fur-babies at home that keep her busy, as well.


Vickie Kepler

Receptionist

Vickie started her employment at the Blanco Veterinary Clinic in February 2006. She is trained as a licensed vocational nurse, but she enjoys the veterinary field, therefore she helps out here at the clinic as a receptionist. She will greet you with a kind smile as you come into our office. In her spare time Vickie enjoys doing anything scrapbooking and vacationing with her family along the East Coast, ESPECIALLY during Halloween.


April Johnson

Receptionist

April has been in the veterinary field since 2012 and joined our team in the Spring of 2019. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and fur-babies, as well as listening to live music. You will find her with a big smile on her face when you come in the door!


Alycia Bienko-Campbell                                 

Receptionist

Alycia has been in the veterinary field since 2020. She joined our team June of 2025. When Alycia isn’t at work, greeting all of our BVC families, she is spending time with her husband, daughter and three other fur-babies. She enjoys the beach, live music, dancing and simply living life in the hill country.


Madisyn Stone

Lead Veterinary Technician

Madisyn is an Arizona native who has chosen to settle in Texas to be closer to her family. Her journey brought her to our team in 2020, and since then, she has become an invaluable member of our clinic. She takes immense pride in her work, ensuring that every pet receives exceptional care and attention. Her dedication to animal welfare is evident in her daily interactions and commitment to excellence. Currently, Madisyn is pursuing further education to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Her drive to expand her knowledge and skills demonstrates her passion for veterinary medicine and her desire to provide the best possible care for animals. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality moments with her boyfriend on the exotic ranch where he works. She also loves traveling and cherishes adventures with her beloved fur-babies.


Cheyenne Hammack

Veterinary Technician

Cheyenne is a Blanco native who knows many of the friendly faces that come through our doors—seeing their pets is always a highlight for her! She launched her career by earning her certification as a Small Animal Veterinary Assistant and is excited to continue her education in the field. When she’s not working, Cheyenne loves spending time near the water, listening to live music, dancing, and simply relaxing with her boyfriend and family—especially their beloved pets. She jumped into her career by becoming a certified Small Animal Veterinary Assistant and is looking forward to furthering her education. In her free time, she enjoys being by the water, listening to live music, dancing and simply being with her boyfriend and her family. Especially her pets!


Elise Edmondson

Veterinary Technician

Elise joined our team in the fall of 2022. Having grown up surrounded by animals, her passion for them naturally led her to pursue a career in the veterinary field. Currently, Elise is attending school to become a Certified Veterinary Technician, furthering her commitment to animal care. Outside of work, Elise is devoted to her family, placing her children at the heart of her life. She enjoys hunting, fishing, outdoor activities, and live music. Known for her sense of humor, Elise brings a lighthearted spirit to the clinic, especially during a tough day.


Bevin Kun

Veterinary Assistant

With over sixteen years of experience in the veterinary field, Bevin brings remarkable dedication and expertise to her work. She cherishes her role as a mother, sharing her love of animals with her son and nurturing his curiosity. When she’s not spending time with him or her husband, Bevin immerses herself in the peaceful rhythms of farm life, tending to her flourishing flower and vegetable gardens. Every endeavor she undertakes is marked by genuine care and commitment, and we are truly grateful to count her as part of our team.


Reanna Bremer

Veterinary Assistant

Reanna relocated to Texas from Michigan in May 2025 and became part of our team just a month after her move. Since 2011, she has worked in every facet of the veterinary field, gaining experience in both small animal clinics and emergency hospitals. Her expertise extends from caring for common household pets to handling exotic animals. Outside of work, Reanna enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her husband. When you visit our clinic, you’ll find Reanna always wearing a smile and eager to assist any pet in need, providing compassionate care to every fur-baby she encounters.

Anayeli, a true Blanconian at heart, has discovered her passion within the veterinary field. Her love for all animals shines through in the attentive care she provides to every fur-baby entrusted to us.
